This is probably the very first map for L4D that is worthy of a click on the download link and is in final version - as opposed to the vast majority of existing ones who are still in beta, or are just not worth it.
Taking place inside a couple of buildings near a dam, the map is really huge and really dark. Moreover, the hints that should lead the ways are quite sparse, leading to confused players, which is the intend, thus forcing the players to explore. Darkness + loss of reference = total anguish.
And, adding the lethalness to the anguish, the medkits are very few. For instance, at spawn, it isn't rare that you only get 2 or 3 medpacs. The difficulty level is high and the mapper even said that the expert level is almost... impossible. Ye be warned.
Last notable point: it's not a campaign consisting of the usual 5 maps, but rather a single huge map, without safe room, but with a proper final nonetheless.
Note:
For the time being, the map can only be played as coop, not yet in versus or in survival.
To launch the map simply type map l4d_dam_it into the console.
Update (20/07/09): The file is now a VPK file. If you want to install this version, do not forget to delete the .BSP file.
