This is probably one of the most intriguing CSS map ever.
Firstly, the setting: Ok, this is not the only forest map (remember cs_jungle), but this one is the most realistic to date.
Secondly, the visual: simply stunning. The way the sun filters through the pines is simply beautiful. But that's not all: all the map is stunning, from the biggest rock to the smallest little detail. You never seen a forest like this is CSS.
Then , the game-play: it is unique. The map is huge, you barely see through the foliage but the map is wide open - you can almost freely move everywhere. All these give as a result a very paranoid experience: who is the hunter, who is the prey? The roles switch often.
Please, note:
- Beware: do not install the file soundscapes_manifest.txt. It seems to corrupt some other maps sound scape
- A 30 or 45 seconds timer is too short. Extend it above 60 seconds. It take a long time to move from one spot to the other. A Mani Admin function allows you to alter this setting for this map only.
- The bots play too well on this map because the foliage, as fog on other maps, doesn't block their line of sight as it does to human players. It can be very frustrating sometime.
