Released back in early 2006, cs_militia is the latest official map added to Counter-Strike: Source. Thanks Valve for taking care of your large customer base by releasing so many new and updated maps within a +/- 18 months time lapse (this was written on Sep. the 11th 2007).

This is a remake of a famous CS 1.6 map and it is one of the most beautiful ever made for CSS. Unfortunately, the gameplay has been modified a little bit. Routes have been added, some details are missing... Anyway, this is a pretty good map, but it's not the original Militia.

Since the release of HL2, loads of Militia remakes have been made. Either to port it to Source (before the official release) or to recreate the original gameplay (after the official release). They were acceptable in the best case. This one is more than satisfactory.

It is a perfect copy of the original one - unless you're a hardcore fan of the CS1.6 version, you won't notice the tiny differences between this map and its glorious original - and you will get splendid graphics.
